I just spent the last 3 months hopping from coast to coast on one boat and then another. In this line of work you don't have much say in what you eat or how it gets to you. I'm sure I went through more plastic packaging in these last 3 months than I've used in the last 3 years. That's the nature of this side of seasonal work, I suppose.
I'm currently working on a boat that's based out of Bainbridge Island, Washington. The boat is smaller than the last I was on, yet bigger than the boat before that. I now find myself working for an organization that has a crew house where we can stay when we're off for a trip. One with room in the pantry for personal preferences. So I figured it's about time to share some more tactics for avoiding plastic.
Stand by for plastic free recipes brought to you from Bainbridge Island, Washington State.
